Skinner Animal Clinic

Diagnostic Care

Your pet cannot communicate what hurts, making diagnostics challenging and vital. Skinner Animal Clinic is home to state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, as well as a team of dedicated and highly experienced veterinary professionals, to provide unrivaled care for your cherished companion.

In-House Laboratory

Pets are very good at hiding pain and illness. Our in-house lab analyzes many test results quickly, allowing for speedier treatment and recovery. We can review fecal tests; skin scrapings; urinalysis and blood work, such as packed cell volume and total protein levels. Complete blood counts and blood chemistry profiles results are sent to our lab with results the next day.

We do utilize outside reference labs for less frequent and non-urgent tests.

Digital X-Ray

X-Rays allow us to instantly view and inspect what is going on inside from a single, high-quality image. Radiology technology is especially beneficial in diagnosing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, intestinal blockages, bladder stones, broken bones, spinal cord diseases, chronic arthritis, cancer, and much more. This tool is not only invaluable, it is also safe, painless, and non-invasive!

Ultrasound

Non-invasive and pain-free ultrasound technology is an advanced diagnostic tool which allows us to see what is going on inside your pet’s body. We can check your pet’s internal organs, such as the bladder, kidneys and liver to locate areas of pain and concern, which may indicate the source of illness, injury or disease.

Pain Management

Your pet cannot tell you what hurts! This makes it difficult to notice signs of pain or discomfort. At Skinner Animal Clinic, we educate pet parents to identify signs of pain, no matter how subtle, allowing areas of concern to be identified sooner.

We also rigorously manage even the slightest discomfort before, during, and after any procedure.

If you believe your pet is in pain, do not hesitate to call us. We want nothing more than your pet to be healthy, happy, and comfortable.
